Most people get their wisdom teeth in their late teens or early twenties. For some, these teeth will become impacted and damage other teeth. Because they only partially erupt from the gum line, they can be difficult to clean, and can grow bacteria and cause cavities, gum disease, and ultimately tooth infections. For this reason, most dentists recommend removing wisdom teeth when there is not adequate room in the mouth.
If your wisdom teeth are bothering you, we can help. We perform same-day wisdom tooth extractions for most patients. In some cases, we may need to refer you to a specialist oral surgeon.
